Chris Bennett was born in Lancashire, North England 

Studied at the Art and Design college in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland, thereafter at the Cumbria College of Art and Design where he studied all aspects of art and design from photography, calligraphy with a strong emphasis on graphic design. At the same time was experimenting with photography and airbrush art techniques.

He moved to Germany and worked for several years in Düsseldorf in a large advertising agency as part of the creative team.

During his career he became very interested in digital design and the possibilities presented as a tool for the designer/artist, fortunately his career in graphic design and advertising has allowed him to follow the development of this tool to the present day and with the development of digital cameras and peripherals his concepts and ideas have been made possible through  the use of (mostly) his own high quality photos by manipulation and montage.

The photographs used in the making of the images are all taken by the artist on his many walks and holidays where he has the habit of photographing everything that takes his eye from museums, landscapes, animals and markets, he now has an extremely large catalogue of source materials.

Chris Bennett lives in the Allgäu, S Germany with his wife and children.
